Today you'll be meeting a police dog academy dropout........AKA "Serious". He's the big GSheperd I've got on the drying table. He was not interested in eating cookie's or making friends. Oh, and if you forget that he's a "little" touchy about his front nails, no problem, he'll quickly and clearly remind you. I managed to get his back ones done and his front dew claws (hate those darn things) but that was it. OKAY !!OKAY
The order may be a little out of whack. Please bare with me.
Awe......up next is "Moses" the intact, all muscle, untrained Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. What a
pain in the ........neck.
Then theres "Trini" a really girth challenged Golden with nails so looooong it was ridiculous. She is neurotic and ANXIOUS. Oh my gosh.
"Rosie" is the little white dog on the blue towel. She is supposed to be the brother of Max the black and white ShitZU. She is as sweet and structurally messed up as a dog can get. Story goes that Rosies sister got hit my a car. So the owners (heartbroken) wanted the same temperment and size etc. so they contacted the pet store where they bought her and got in contact with the breeder (puppy mill) out west some where and they got "Max". I just can't see the family resemblance. hmmm Max is the last picture shown.
Next is "Baily" the Choco lab. Fearful, and anxious. Came in with her tail between her legs. Touchy very touchy. She did ok today though, came out real nice.
Next in line is "Missy" the outside all day dog. The biggest "purebred" pet store Pomeranian I've ever seen. She has a real interesting gate because of her fluxating patella (popping knee cap). Her left rear leg is almost useless. Due to poor breeding these are the kind of medical issues that crop up. Missy is 11 and has had this condition since she was a year old. And your not getting her a new knee because........?!
The next picture is of another "Max" and "Cindy Lou Who". Cindy LW is one of Lynn's dogs. The other is "Miss Kitty" AKA your heinass. :) Max is even more crazy and neurotic than CLW.
But CUTE!! Especially on a bad hair day.
"Ice" the HUGE, white, Alaskan Malamute in the tub belongs to Michelle, Brittany's friend. That's me looking dashing in my plastic apron bathing him. I also stuck in an after shot. He came out gorgeous. Hair flying around the room when I was drying him looked like a white out on one of those South Pole documentarys you see on the Nat'l Geo. Channel. A little side story. Lynn likes to walk up to the dog in the tub ........hold their face in her hands and kiss them square on the mouth/nose. She went to do this to Ice and he in no uncertain terms (his GROOOOWL sounded like his head was in a barrel) that he wasn't interested in any foo foo. Lynns face was priceless. And me without my camera. grrrr
Then there is "Natalie" the 13 year old Cocker Spaniel. Poor thing. Has more things growing off her than a spider plant having babies. She is Soooo sweet and SOOOOO smelly. Horrendous even after the bath, I think it comes from within. Oh Yeah. At 13 if she wants to sit while drying we try to accomodate her.
Had to throw in the picture of "Frank" the slightly girth challenged Golden.......He's a sweetheart.
His "Dad" said "He's NOT overweight!! he's a field specimen." Uh huh
Up next is Max. Adorable isn't he? and soft!! He's a good boy too. According to the Pet store (puppy mill distributor) his parents are from local breeders. Uh Huh. And Rosie is supposed to be his sister.
The last dog of the week I did was "blank". Didn't get a pic and can't for the life of me remember her name. A mid size cocker/poo that doesn't allow her nails to get done without a sling, muzzle , tranquilizer and heavy gloves. That is until she met the Charlestown dog whisperer wanna be. Today without sling, or muzzle I drummeled her nails. Lynn said that's freakin AMAZING.
