Bather Brusher, and lovin it

As some of you know I have been an apprentice in a Dog Grooming shop

in my home town. I love working with all the different dogs and Lynn is

a great teacher. The pics are some of the dogs I got to meet today. First meet Nixon a large
Goldendoodle. An excellent dog and may I say ALL of our Goldendoodle's are wonderful, patient dogs.
Who'd of thought that mixing a
tremendous shedder like a Golden Retreiver and a Standard Poodle would create a minimal to non shedding dog. They are very high end maintenance by the way. Grooming required every 6 weeks ideally. AND NO NO NO your groomer is not trying to milk it. If you have a dog that requires grooming........the longer you wait in between means the longer your pet has to stand in the tub -30 minutes, on the dry table-1 hour, and then the clip-30-60+minutes. That's a long time to be scrubbed, dried, brushed , pulled and clipped. Not only is it stressful, it isn't fair to the pets you proclaim to love.
And what's with all the designer dogs. The dogs that I've come in contact with that are crossed with a Poodle.... act like a Poodle. So what's the point.
Just get a Poodle. They are excellant dogs and since working with them ........I love them.
Then there's the one that I'd love to groom in the future (He's the big Malamute from Canada).
Every two weeks the owner comes to the shop to buy dog food. I'll let you know.
