Gary and his helper Mike are working under very
tough conditions. These sunny pics that
were taken Monday are unusual. Unusual in
the sense that it's typically been raining, and icy
conditions. Even on most days, not more than
a week ago, Gary would explain that yeah its
sunny on this day......but the ice or snow and rain from the last couple of days is now dripping down his back as the steel bridge dethaws and dries. His boots and feet were soaked. Oh...and the wind I forgot to mention the wind. It's BRUTAL and unrelenting. Lunch is whatever you've brought with you, and if you stop for lunch you'll be going down to the barge to get in out of the weather. You would of course first have to get from the bridge to the barge.
The pics: I like the pic of the "tower". You'll note that the picture with the very high steel
structure high over the bridge is Gary's office. It looks a little lopsided because the other half
of the twin tower is only about halfway installed. The other pics is of Gary hand drilling something.
There are some very talented trades represented out there. Be safe guys.
