Look at that face! Sydney is a sweetheart of a Golden Retriever and ....a nut job. Gives great kisses, then wrestles with you to do her nails, ears, brushing etc. When she was finally done at 5:30 she was still damp around the ears because we did the dryer dance.
I aim the dryer at her head and she moves to the other side. Grrrrrrr But when she's all done and she has her stink on (perfume) and her bandanna
she's all good.
The little Sheltie is Meghan. She was rescued from a local shelter by a woman who has had several Sheltie's. What a REAL sweetheart. Lovable and sweet, not the typical stereotyped neurotic yapper. Quiet in fact. A real keeper. Just like Cesar (the Dog Whisperer) says....it's not about the breed......it's about knowing what level energy you are and matching that energy. That has become crystal clear since I started working here.
No, Peppermint Patty may look dead but she is "just" heavily sedated. A vicious little dog that has been banned from several groomers in the area. I've never met her before and was disappointed that she was so out of it. It made me very sad to groom her and to an extent...angry. I prefer the challenge of grooming a difficult dog.......and winning them over. Very satisfying.
And last but not least, for today is (Blank) can't think of his name right now. But what a wonderful little Westie (West Highland Terrier). Very well socialized. Has terrific manners.
Love those terriers!! And the responsible owners who take the time to train them.
